Regional Training Seminars

As of January 2020, CGJA will no longer hold regional seminars. All Grand Jury training seminars wil be onsite only.

Program Description:

This two-day seminar provides grand jurors and alternates the knowledge and skills required to perform their basic civil oversight functions as grand jurors. Topics include grand jury law; local government structure and governance; legal topics such as how to avoid defamation, the grand jury’s legal advisors, and the transparency and ethics laws that apply to all local governments; how to conduct grand jury investigations and interviews; the basic principles of writing grand jury reports; and a workshop on grand jury collegiality.
